【摘要】:Thistestmethoddeterminesquantitativelythetotalamountofpetroleumwaxinwax-impregnatedpapers,includingpapersreferredtoas"drywaxed"orsimply"waxed"papers,andpaperproductsmadefromsuchpapers.Thistestmethodisnotintendedforusewithwax-sizedpapers,becausethesegenerallycontainsuchquantitiesofrosinorothermaterialssolubleundertheconditionsofthistestmethod,orboth,thattheaccuracyforquantitativelymeasuringwaxisseriouslyimpaired.Thistestmethoddoesnotdifferentiatebetween"surfacewax"and"totalwax."Itmeasuresthetotalamountofwaxmaterialsextractedundertheconditionsspecified.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection8.
