【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthetemperatureatwhichplasticsandelastomersexhibitbrittlefailureunderspecifiedimpactconditions.Tworoutineinspectionandacceptanceproceduresarealsoprovided.Note1-WhentestingrubbersforimpactbrittlenessuseTestMethodsD2137.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note2-ThistestmethodandISO974-1980(E)aretechnicallyequivalentwhenusingtheTypeBfixtureandtheTypeIIIspecimen,however,theminimumnumberofspecimensthatarerequiredtobetestedmaybesignificantlydifferentwhenusingthistestmethod.TheISOmethodrequiresthataminimumof100specimensbetested.
