【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddefines:Areferencecomparisonmethod.Thismethodisapplicabletotwocharacterstringstodeterminetheirrelativeorder.ThemethodcanbeappliedtostringscontainingcharactersfromthefullrepertoireofISO/IEC10646-1.Thismethodisalsoapplicabletosubsetsofthatrepertoire,suchasthoseofthedifferentISO/IEC8-bitstandardcharactersets,oranyothercharacterset,ctandardisedornot,toproduceorderingresultsvalid(aftertailoring)foragivensetoflanguagesforeachscript.ThismethodusescollationtablesderivedeitherfromtheCommonTemplateTabledefinedinthisInternationalStandardorfromoneofitstailorings.Areferenceformat.TheformatisdescribedusingtheBackus-NaurForm(BNF).ThisformatisusedtodescribetheCommonTemplateTable.TheformatisusednormativelywithinthisInternationalStandard.ACommonTemplateTable.AgiventailoringoftheCommonTemplateTableisusedbythereferencecomparisonmethod.TheCommonTemplateTabledescribesanorderforallcharactersencodedinthefirsteditionofISO/IEC10646-1uptoAmendment7.Itallowsforaspecificationofafullydeterministicordering.Thistableenablesthespecificationofastringorderingadaptedtolocalorderingrules,withoutrequiringanimplementertohaveknowledgeofallthedifferentscriptsalreadyencodedintheUCS.NOTEI:ThisCommonTemplateTableistobemodifiedtosuittheneedsofalocalenvironment.Themainbenefit,worldwide,isthatforotherscripts,offennomodificationmayberequiredandthattheorderwillremainasconsistentaspossibleandpredictablefromaninternationalpointofview.NOTE2:ThecharacterrepertoireusedinthisInternationalStandardisequivalenttothatoftheUnicodeStandardversion2.I.Areferencename.ThereferencenamereferstothisparticularversionoftheCommonTemplateTable,foruseasareferencewhentailoring.Inparticular,thisnameimpliesthatthetableislinkedtoaparticularstageofdevelopmentoftheISO/IEC10646Universalmultipleoctetcodedcharacterset.Requirementsforadeclarationofthedifferences(delta)betweenthecollationtableandtheCommonTemplateTable.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotmandate:Aspecificcomparisonmethod;anyequivalentmethodgivingthesameresultsisacceptable.Aspecificformatfordescribingortailoringtablesinagivenimplementation.SpecificsymbolstobeusedbyimplementationsexceptforthenameoftheCommonTemplateTable.Anyspecificuserinterfaceforchoosingoptions.Anyspecificinternalformatforintermediatekeysusedwhencomparing,norforthetableused.Theuseofnumerickeysisnotmandatedeither.Acontext-dependentordering.Anyparticularpreparationofcharacterstringspriortocomparison.NOTEI:ItisnormallynecessarytodopreparationofcharacterstringspriortocomparisonevenifitisnotprescribedbythisInternationalstandard(seeinformativeAnnexC).NOTE2:AlthoughnouserinterfaceisrequiredtochooseoptionsortospecifytailoringoftheCommonTemplateTable,conformancerequiresalwaysdeclaringtheapplicabledelta,adeclarationofdifferenceswiththistable.Itisrecommendedthatprocessespresentavailabletailoringoptionstousers.
