【摘要】:CCl4andCHCl3maybepresentintraceamountsinliquidchlorine.Theuseofchlorinetopurifywaterwouldthentransferthesecompoundstothewater.Therefore,whentheconcentrationsoftheCCl4andCHCl3intheliquidchlorineareknown,themaximumamountscontributedtothewaterbythechlorinecanbeestimated.1.1Thistestmethodisdesignedforthedeterminationofcarbontetrachloride(CCl4)andchloroform(CHCl3)inliquidchlorine.Thelowerlimitofdetectionisdependentonthesamplesizeandtheinstrumentused;fiveppm(w/w)isachievable.1.2Reviewthecurrentmaterialsafetydatasheet(MSDS)fordetailedinformationconcerningtoxicity,firstaidprocedures,andsafetyprecautions.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsstatementsaregiveninSection7andin9.2.3.
